Faculty of Agriculture came into existence with the establishment of SKUAST-Jammu. The university was named by Sheikh Md. Abdullah and was established in the year 1982 as the act form the L.A. or the state legislative assembly was passed. The university was separated from the SKUAST Jammu in the year 1998-99 as there were some amendments in the act of SKUAST 1982. The university council includes Chancellors, Vice chancellors.The Central University of Jammu came into existence on August 08, 2011, with the appointment of the first Vice-Chancellor. It was established by the Central Universities Act, 2009 (Act No.25 of 2009 read with the Central Universities Act, 2009).
Admissions Guidelines :-Admission to a programme of study in a teaching department of the University shall be made on the basis of written objective type Jammu University Entrance Test (JUET) by the Admission Committee of the Department concerned with the approval of the Dean Academic Affairs.
